Using Medicare for Addiction Treatment
Medicare, the federal health insurance program for people 65 and older and some younger individuals with disabilities, covers substance use disorder treatment. Medicare Part A covers inpatient hospital care including medical detox and residential treatment, while Medicare Part B covers outpatient services. Trust SoCal accepts Medicare and works with eligible beneficiaries to access comprehensive addiction treatment.
Under the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, insurance providers are required to cover substance abuse treatment at the same level as medical and surgical care. Our admissions team works directly with Medicare to verify your benefits and maximize your coverage.
